FAQ: C34 Performance Under Sail

from a C34 under sail?
 

"The Catalina 34 should be sailed on her lines, with no more than 5 degrees of weather helm; the trick is to keep the heel angle around 15 degrees. You will also be able to compensate for puffs much more readily at this heel angle than if you are already heeled at 20-25 degrees, which would make rounding up inevitable..." (Mainsheet, Feb., 1990).
